Pocha Restaurant launched just weeks before the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This obviously presented an unprecedented challenge: how to build awareness and attract customers to a brand-new dining experience when foot traffic barely event began. I partnered closely with the owner to conduct a thorough brand audit, uncovering opportunities to sharpen Pocha’s unique voice and cultural authenticity. From there, I crafted inventive strategies that translated the vibrant energy of the restaurant into compelling menu designs, cost effective to-go packaging, and engaging social media content that encouraged takeout and delivery orders. These efforts helped Pocha break through the noise and build a loyal customer base despite the odds.
Beyond digital and print, I extended the brand experience into the physical space with thoughtful interior design and clear, inviting store signage that welcomed guests safely when they could return. To reinforce brand recognition, I designed apparel graphics and promotional fliers that kept the community connected and excited. This multifaceted approach not only supported Pocha through a difficult start but set a strong foundation for sustainable growth, proving how creative direction and design can turn crisis into opportunity.
